An amazing 5th birthday party!

Ian had the most fabulous 5th birthday party. Wonderful friends, lots of play and a trackless train. What more could a sweet 5 year old want. Seeing him play in the bean turtle with 3 of his peers from school was priceless. I couldn't find my camera at that moment but the image will forever be burned into my memory. I was held in a moment of time which seemed surreal while watching them. My sweet hard working determined boy has come so far. From that frail baby so close to death so many times to this hardy, happy, bean-throwing cheeky boy. (knock wood for him being hardy ;) I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful.

He is a love to everyone he encounters. His hugs and smile bring joy to those who love him as well as strangers he stops in the street. It seems everyone can use a hug. Although it makes me very nervous for when I'm not there to keep him safe, it's a beautiful thing to see how his joy is spread through unconditional loving energy. So many I apologize to for this unknown boy breaking the personal space barriers, as he swoops in for his hugs, are thanking him for his infectious positive energy.

I'm very sorry for such delay on the updates. I've not made the time but I need to. Documenting the progress he's rapidly making is so important. And, as always, if you are reading this, thank you for your continued love and support of my sweet boy.
