Good meeting with Dr. Hedayat

Had a meeting with Dr. Hedayat, who does endobiogeny and the biology of function. We've been seeing him for a couple years. He's super expensive and it's a chunk each time we meet. But I really feel he's such a different doctor looking at Ian from a very different angle than any other we have. Thought I'd paste my notes below for future reference. We are also thinking about switching pediatricians to Dr. Katerai who is a protege of Dr. H and is local and share and office now with the  fabulous Dr. Gill.

issues to discuss

- growth hormone levels/hypoglycemia

- dilated heart vessels, kind of ruled out that it was growth hormone but what to do about it

- overall, still very delayed, trying to work out what to do for next school year

- lots of frustration and terrible 2’s lately, which is good but challenging for me

- got partial frenectomy, was really hard to get to his tongue to stretch it out. not sure if it’s my imagination but i think he can stick out his tongue a bit further. dr. sami fitted him for an upper palette expander, not sure when it will be in, have to call them

- need to see dr. gill more often

-working with gloria phillips for NAET. so far have done,    need to still do sodium, plastics

- when he couldn’t get rid of congestion, tried chinese cupping and see Luriko’s suggestions below, would like thoughts on these:
* Use spoon and go down arms with spoon and hand right behind it gentle not much pressure more to stimulate the nerves, Down legs as well, In clockwise motion around belly

*Along spine do scraping with smooth rock edge like the fish. Use oil and scrape on top

*Also go from spine out across the top of scapula going out both sidess. Do it enough to redden the skin

- used Dr. Katerai’s cold tincture this time, ask about seeing Dr. Katerai and switching to him for pediatrician or just consultation

- dr. kaye feels he’s got femer and/or hip issues which are contributing to his walking with feet rolled/turned out and he’s got flat feet, 12 degrees scoliosis

- still need to do surgery to bring testies down, any suggestions on that

guashon (rubbing suggested by Luriko), it’s important to rub with enough friction to get redness which is the important part, draws heat and excessive metobolicity lets the heat get out of the body and lets it cool and calm down

wise to have the interview with dr. k

katerai was associate professor of loma linda, has a good deal of academic experience, dr. k and dr. h communicate by email at least once a week, really good quality that dr. k has is that he has no problem asking for help,

dr. k has a mixed model takes insurance, but his endobiogeny is different

from lab results, shown a number of important improvements, thyroid has picked up, excess of growth factors have improved, growth hormone itself and little things that work inside cells, growth factors inside the cells, which help the cell function, has increased which is also good

looks like his mind is a little less busy back in September (I commented that he’s perseverating less and a bit more in “our world” connecting, still a long way to go but a bit better

based on the blood results - iodine was to improve thyroid function and to reduce his thyroid stimulating hormone and it looks like it worked, reduce it to 4 drops once a week

50% reduction in thyroid stimulating and 150% increase to his thyroid function which is fabulous

everything else is working exactly how he would want it to work

I mention I’m giving him bee pollen and he commented that it has special properties, has trace minerals in it to support the bodies ability to deal with stress

he’s been working lately on using medications that have neurologic effects as well

flu medication amantadine helps improve dopamine to help with concentration and focus

mentacycline in low doses protects the neurons in the brain helps with cognitive ability

start with metacycline and we will be able to determine how they work if we try one at a time, effects determined by 8 weeks, do a 2 month trial, 50mg 2x a day

gaba is another thing we could try, the gut and the brain start out at with the same embryonic material, the spread apart over time but never loose their connection, 2 hormones that are in both, serotonin and gaba, more gaba in pancreas than there is in the brain, regulating sugar levels, could pull double duty

he has too much brain power but can’t focus, the way to help kids like Ian learn faster is to calm their brain so they can focus

he could potentially benefit for a pancreas calmer

do gaba one tablet in the evening

he’d like us to come out to chicago to see him in person in august
