He's now on 15 liters of hi-flow oxygen and has been taken off feeding, except through his gTube. And the sponges soaked with Pedialyte. Thank goodness we have the gTube! And hopefully he'll be back on eating today. That has to be one of the most tortuous things about our stays here. No feeds, IV's and suctioning are all so frustrating. Luckily he has a very strong cough so we've avoided suctioning. And they still haven't forced the IV after the failed attempts. But the no feed is just horrible.
I'm trying to be optimistic and will hope for less than a week stay. I flew Lila up to my parents yesterday because Mike has a crazy schedule which includes travel this week. Thank goodness for my parents and Mike's Mom! We've got so many friends that offer to help but when it comes to consistent Lila care, I really don't know what we'd do without family.
So, everyone cross your fingers and toes, send your prayers and good vibrations, we'll take whatever you can offer :-) He's ready to come home. He will turn 1 year on the 19th and we best not be in here for that momentous occasion!
