Bringing a different shirt

When Ian’s getting dressed in the morning sometimes when he’s already out in the living room and we are in a rush, I’ll just bring out like three options for everything he needs. And he’ll choose from those. The other day he had chosen a shirt and pants. But then he went back into his bedroom and came out a minute later with his favorite rainbow Hurley shirt. Now the shirt is probably a little small, which is why I didn’t choose it. But of course I helped him out it on.  That was something he’s never done before. Clearly he didn’t want my three choices and he knew what shirt he wanted to wear. Seems very small but it’s pretty huge in this mama's eyes.

We’ve also been working on asking him to get his school clothes since all of his drawers are clearly marked with what’s inside. In the past he might come back with three pairs of underwear and a pair of shorts when really he needs a school shirt and a pair of school pants. Lately it seems like he’s more on target. Hopefully this will all continue. Pretty exciting!
