Surgery is now behind us thank goodness. His eyes are still not back to normal. Really hoping they will improve as time allows things to heal. Dr Borchert seemed shocked at the pressure when he looked. His reaction was quite alarming. And the fact the eyes are still crossed makes me nervous and sad. The thing that eases my mind a bit is that he is able to navigate his pink iPad to get his shows on YouTube... all about motivation right? And when he was asking for something else I asked him to type it and he could: with spaces, correcting and everything.
Horrible Vancomycin will be every 8 hrs for the next two days so we will be here til at least Thursday night or Friday. And later tomorrow we will work on the constipation problem, get going with neuro ophthalmology to figure out the eyes and of course watch the shunt site carefully.
