an email to the endocrine nurse/scheduler --
Hi Janet,
Hi Janet,
I was corresponding with Dr. G about the MRI's Ian had yesterday. All went ok during them but he dropped a bit after because he wouldn't eat. Would love to get an appt with him to discuss status of GH. One of the MRI's we had was of the full spine due to his newest diagnosis of Scoliosis. It has gone from 17/19 in April to 24/25 in October. Dr. Skaggs is concerned that it could be getting worse due to either fluid in the column, which we will be able to discern by looking at the study, or the rapid growth he has had in the last two years.
Odd thing is we haven't changed his dose since April of 2014 although he has grown quite a bit since then. Which is fine with me as I'd love him not to be on it at all. But I'm also concerned his sugars have been dropping a bit in the last couple of months. So what to do... always a balance of treating multiple diagnosis right?
We are currently inpatient for observation after the sedation. If someone could come by in rounds that would be great. But I'd love to get some time with Dr. G to have a look again at our strategy.
You can reach me at 310-699-7621.
Thanks so much,
Shari Abercrombie
