Snuggles, love and B's

This sweet boy is such a love! Now that he's in a big boy bed, I can lay down with him to read at night. And early this morning, I heard him crying and found him laying on the floor at the bottom of his bed. Probably fell out. But we have the box & mattress on the floor so it's not super far. Trying to keep him quiet to allow the rest of the family to sleep, I laid down with him. He gets so excited when I'm lying next to him.

I sometimes find myself flashing back to the days on the ER gurney's when we'd be there for so many hours trying to get rest of some sort before getting admitted. They were more narrow than his twin bed. And that was the only time I ever got to snuggle with him. Guess there's a silver lining to every dark cloud. Now it's on our home turf and so much more enjoyable!

He's doing fabulously with his iPad. I've been "pushing in" to the classroom to model how to use it with him. Might be weeks before they are ready. I really think I need to ask Ali to do a demo session when she gets back. At least they are open to it.

Today he said "I want tacos/chips which took tapping 7 buttons and drilling through 3 folders to get to the food we were having. I'll upload it tomorrow.

And his sounds are coming along, letter by letter. We've all really been working on his B, without the nose plug. Not sure if I've ever logged this but M becomes B and N becomes D when the nose is plugged. We've been doing that for a couple months to try to help him work out how to get the motor planning down to make the sound. And his B is finally coming around without the pinch, thanks to our favorite Splash girls!

We read Bee and Me as well as Little Blue Truck tonight and, with some concentration, he was able to say bee and blue as well as beep! So amazing to see him work so hard and when he gets it, he's thrilled!
