More walking on his own

After those couple days of walking at NAPA before his birthday Ian decided he didn't want to do that so easily anymore. Of course I got the little backpack he wore on one day and probably tried it too much at home. Just once a day but he didn't go for it. So I stopped. And took another deep breath.

We began another intensive this Monday. OT and CME 1x a day for 3 weeks. The 2nd day he would take steps while I held onto one side of the book and he the other. The. I let to of the book and he just walked and read. Then he would come to me to turn the pages and point at things in the book. It's been a good week of walking! But I will not try it at home until he is ready. Its a fine balance of supporting and pushing too hard. And I'm still learning where the line is. We'll see how next week goes!
