Began the "wonder powder", hoping for more miracles

We received our shipment of Nutriveda yesterday and I started Ian on it as of last night. I've got a couple friends who have used it and seen results with their children. And if you look at the site that discusses it, sounds pretty much like a miracle powder. And I guess that's what I'm hoping for.

Ian's progress has already been quite amazing considering all that he has to deal with. But I can't help be being greedy where his development is concerned. I just want the best for him and will do pretty much anything I need to do to make that happen. Who knows if this stuff will help him but I'm gonna give it a try. As long as there are no adverse side effects, I'll try it until I run out of the order. If it's not doing much for him, I just won't order it again.

And for the record, he currently has no words at all and only a few sounds that could be considered communication. He's got a couple different kind of grunts and whines but that's all for now. If you look at this site, http://pursuitofresearch.org/ you'll expect him to be reciting Shakespeare by his birthday ;-) Not that crazy but it definitely sold me on the stuff.

Speaking of progress, his walking, when he feels like it, is always getting better. He'll often walk just holding one hand. Kind of like as if we are just crossing the street. It's so adorable! Although today I noticed his steps weren't as strong and confidant as they have been. Not sure why that is. But he is definitely more courageous with his cruising.

He's being more proactive and responsive to our daily routine. For instance, when he's hungry he'll cruise over to the table to look for food. And when it's breathing treatment time I walk by him to head to his room and tell him to meet me there. And he usually does. There are still many frustrating moments where we will call his name when we are just beside him and there's no response at all. But that's not all the time. Overall, we continue to have slow but steady progress. And progress is what we strive for.
