Seizure brings us to the ER again

If I live on our street you are most likely wondering what the heck happened tonight to bring ambulances to our door. Ian had his first seizures today and we didn't know what to do.

I'm exhausted again sitting next to a gurney with my sweet boy fast asleep. It's too much to go into details right now. I'm short we believe he had at least one small seizure this afternoon and a long one around 6 this evening. We had just come from UCLA doctor appointment's for he and Lila. There was discussion of admitting him then but it didn't seem necessary at the time. Until we arrived home and he went into a very strange state. It lasted for over 5 minutes, maybe even as long as 10. Enough time for me to run to the car to get the camera to record it.

Again he's being pumped with antibiotics and they also did a lumbar puncture as well as the usual blood work and urine sample via catheter. All so miserable!

And again, we are awaiting a room. As usual, they are over crowded and have no space upstairs.

Sad to say many of the ER staff know us. Not something I'd ever strive to achieve but I guess they understand our pain a bit more at this point.
