Lila meets her baby brother!

It was another big day for the Abercrombie Family... Lila finally met her baby brother! What a lovely visit it was. She was so excited to see him and was adorable with him. She kept saying how cute he was and would give him kisses on his head. She also wanted to hug him which was a bit tricky, but so sweet!

She'll be 3 in a few days, which is the age limit to enter the NICU. We really didn't want her to meet him for the first time at home so made the decision to set up the meeting now. It worked out nicely because he no longer has the cannula in his nose, just his feeding tube. Unfortunately, he was asleep for most of the visit but he did check her out when she first arrived.

My sister (the third one who was visiting for the first time) and my cousin also were able to meet him for the first time as well. He had a big day of visitors!

So we thought this would be a good first photo to share with friends and family. Funny that I'm a photographer and we forgot my camera in the car. It was a bit hectic coming in because we took 2 cars and had a bunch of things to bring in to the hospital. I was so part of the moment anyway, including holding him much of the time, that it would have been tricky to take the photos anyway. I'll have to get the next visit better documented.

It's really hard to believe he's still got so many issues. At this point, to us, he just looks like a normal, healthy, scrumptious little baby. And with all of the support, prayers and positive energy sent his way from all of you, maybe that's what he'll soon become!
