We didn't see him for the better part of the day due to it being Easter and the fact that we have a little girl who needed to celebrate it with an egg hunt and just some fun time with family. I did go by in the evening and Mike & his sister headed up while I was giving Lila a bath and tucking her in.
While I was there, he was awake for a while. His eyes look so much better when he is completely awake. It's when he's falling asleep or waking up is when they trip out. It was the first time I saw him yawn. And was moving his hands around a bit. When Mike & Lorrie went up, they said it was the most "baby" they saw him act. They said he was sucking on a pacifier, which I didn't even know they could do. Lorrie said they cut it so it would fit around the tubes in his mouth. They also saw him yawn a couple of times and said his little legs were kicking around.
He's down to 9 on the Nitric Oxide, which is huge. When we had called earlier in the day, I believe the nurse had mentioned being down to 12 and they must have weaned since then. He had good blood gases since so he must be fine with it.
She also said they took him off of all of the anti-biotics. I guess the cycle had run on them and his labs had come back negative for anything he'd need one for.
They had also weaned him a bit on his Morphine although he was still receiving the Hydromorphone as well.
I believe that's all we noted changed. Progress made today!
