Another unsuspecting mag victim.

Stephanie, my nurse for today, told me there's a girl two doors down just starting her Magnesium today. She asked me questions about how long it took me to get adjusted to it. It seems I had a pretty harsh reaction to the stuff and sounds like this girl is having a similar experience. I told her there should be a Mag hotline ;-)

I was so lucky to be able to call my friend Marla, who had been through it before, as I was going through the worst of it. When I literally felt as if I would die, because that's what the stuff makes you feel, she assured me she felt the same and I would make it through. I feel so bad for the new girl.

I sent her my cell phone number and the most fabulous fan that my friend Cherilyn dropped off for me when I was just beginning my treatment. It was the most wonderful gift she could have given to me.... actually my first gift since being admitted. A silly thing her son had picked up at Disneyland. A water bottle with a fan and a squirter on it. You run the fan in your face and mist yourself at the same time. Perfect for the Mag hot flashes that were so intensely bad at the start. I still have them but definitely not as bad now. I hope it's helping her as it did me. Save as Draft
