A remarkable amount of directions followed in the bathroom

Just need to document an amazing couple minutes which might seem silly to the average person but are quite impressive to this mommy.

We have been working all year to try to get Ian to go to the bathroom in the toilet. It's been a struggle and not having much success. But he does like to SIT on the toilet because we have created a new behavior issue by playing his fav music while he's in there. He loves to listen to YouTubeKids' version of the Thomas the Train Music, Sounds and Thomas You're the Leader.

Here's the few amazing minutes. I'm sitting on the bed while he's in the bathroom and I can see him. I've got the music playing on a speaker in the bathroom because if there is a device of any kind in his sight he will take it over immediately (even climbing onto the bathroom counter with his pants at his ankles to reach over the medicine chest to get the phone... another fabulous milestone and absolutely terrifying act).

As I'm watching him he gets off the toilet (pants still around his ankles), picks up the step stool he rests his feet on, brings it over to the tall set of drawers the speaker is sitting on, and steps up on it to reach the speaker. I paused the music, with no verbal cue, but which he knows means he needs to sit down again. He goes back to sit down. I ask him to scoot back cause he's sitting right on the edge of the toilet. He stands up, grabs his stool, sits back down and puts it under his feet. I ask him to slide back more and he uses his feet to slide the step stool back towards the toilet and slides back.

Truly amazing amount of steps and following directions!!!
