Big boy bed

We've been toying with the concept of moving Ian to a "big boy bed" for a while now. But I've been so nervous as to how he would react to it. If he'd stay in or end up wandering the house or reading his books all night. A parent/friend from WISH posted that she had a twin mattress set she needed to get rid of so I took it. And we put it in his room, just on the floor. All the beds we were looking at were all too high but this is just perfect! Simple.

It's his 2nd night. And we still have the crib in the room, just in case. But I've asked him both nights which he'd like to sleep in and he said the bed. And last night, when we did put him in his crib, he just tried to crawl right out! Which he's only tried to do less than a handful of times, primarily when he was with other family members, oddly enough. Last night he was up twice, to be expected. But he did go back to sleep eventually. We'll see how it goes tonight. I'm crossing my fingers and toes ;)
