Music therapy

Ian is now receiving music therapy in our home, courtesy of The
Children's Music Fund. They have a program where they offer a 20 week
session of therapy to people with chronic conditions. I applied for
Ian and they connected me to a therapist who comes to our home once a
week. Amazing!

Once I put away all the toys and covered the books Ian has been much
more engaged. It reminds me of a class I did with Lila (and Ian in
utero as a trade for photo work) called Music Together. I've always
wanted to do MT with Ian but didn't want to spend the money. So here's
a fabulous alternative and its 1 on 1! When we can Lila and I will
join the session which is fun for all of us.

For now I can check that one off the list of therapies to try with our
sweet boy. Next is another type of music therapy called The Listening
Program where we purchase a player with classical music modified to
target certain portions of his brain to optimize development. Then
comes special need swim lessons and HIPPO Therapy. The list goes on!
