Another silly and exciting bit on Ian's development. He's been so into bouncing lately, especially in my arms. If I'm holding him on my hip, he'll grab my body to shift himself to the front so he can bounce. Yesterday I was picking up Lila from preschool and chatting with another Mom so my face was turned towards her. He kept grabbing my face and turning it towards him! I had my big sunglasses on so he either just wanted my attention or he loved seeing his big smile in the reflection of my glasses. Either way, it was so cute! It was just cracking both of us up!
It seems like in the last week he's just kind of "woken up to the world" if that makes any sense. He's so excited to drop and pick up his sister. He loves looking at other children now. We went to the aquarium again yesterday with Lila and her sweet friend Sofia. I had put the girls in the back and Ian just loved that! They were all cracking each other up.
Who knows what it is. But coincidentally I've recently begun the "homeopathic remedy" given to us by Dr. Gramlich. It's feels very strange to give. The directions are this. I took 3 teensy, tiny little seeds which are barely visible to the eye. I put them in 2/3 full of a half of a liter glass bottle, filled with Distilled water. I added a few tablespoons of plain Vodka as a preservative. Once a day I slam it on the counter or in my hand 10 times. I put one tablespoon of the solution in 4 oz of distilled water and I give him 1 tablespoon of it. I have to make sure it's at least half hour after and before a meal.
While I'm doing this every day I'm thinking... am I really doing this ;-) But what the heck. As I've mentioned before, I'll try pretty much anything as long as it's not harmful. I also crush up a bunch of supplements and give them to him in applesauce every day. Of course we still do his meds 4 times a day. And breathing treatments are now down from every 4 hours to 2 times a day, thank goodness! Whatever is working, I'm loving this little boy more and more each day. He's the sweetest guy you'll ever meet!
