We were moved back onto "the floor" which means back to the Pediatric Floor and out of the PICU at around 9 last night. Mike and I were able to have a late night dinner after we got him settled. After which I dropped him back at the hospital so I could sleep at home for a night.
Ian is still on hi-flow oxygen but down to 5 liters instead of 20 and down to 40% oxygen instead of 100%. Definitely making progress. Our hope is for him to be out no later than Saturday, which is also when I'll fly up to my parents to pick up our sweet little girl.
We really miss her! Thank goodness for my parents suggesting they have her up for a visit. I don't know what we'd do without them and Lona (Mike's Mom)! They all have saved us time and time again and allowed Lila to have some continuity while we go through all this with Ian.
As I'm writing this Mike called and sounds like Ian is a bit fussy and more wheezy again. One day at a time. I just have to keep that my mantra.
