He's now on high flow oxygen, has an IV for fluids & antibiotics and is pretty out of it. A real bummer is that I'm barely able to even hold him because of all the tubes. (Of course I'm especially anxious about pulling the IV out. It only took them 2 pokes this time but I'm really hoping to have that be his last before we head home.) I guess he's not really up for being held right now anyway. I just lean on the bed next to him and share toys with his free hand. They did get me a bouncy seat last night which he was very happy to change positions into. Hopefully today he'll get himself over the hump and start heading towered recovery.
We are in SM hospital for the first time since his birth. After spending over 24 hours in the ER in Westwood (his pediatrician sent him there after a visit to her) they asked if we'd want to move to a room here rather than wait longer in the ER. Like usual, they were completely full on the ped floor and had people lining the halls of the ER. (it's a beautiful building but not well thought out for use) I agreed to move because his main Pulmonologist is doing rounds here this week so we still have been able to be watched by him.
I'll update when I get a chance. Hopefully from home when my little guy is back to his happy self again.
