Finally a night of sleep.... or not.

We actually have been looking for someone to stay the night one night a week so we can get some rest and recover a bit. The agency who handles the nurses had sent over someone but the fit was not right. The fabulous nurse who has been working with us offered to stay one night. So last night was it. We were so excited, Mike and I. He went to be before 10pm for the first time in ages and I, having to pump and get the room (bed) ready for the nurse, stayed up to wait for Sandra to arrive. We both took an Ambien, I figured I'd pump and dump if need be. We were set.

I ended up asleep around 11:30 with my ear plugs in and eye mask on. Then, around 3:30 I hear my sweet little girl crying for me because she had a nightmare. She comes into the room and wants to crawl in bed with me for the first time! I suggested we go to her room, knowing I could sneak out when she fell asleep. It probably took her 45 minutes to get there! She listens to her "quiet music" the local classical station and they were playing some pick-me-up pieces and narrating them all! She still wanted it on. Eventually we both fell asleep but it put a hole in my chunk of time. At least I got a couple smaller chunks. Better than the 1-2 hours I've been getting I guess. It's just Murphy's Law, isn't it?
