We were told about an hour ago that we weren't taking Ian home tonight :-( They did an ultrasound on his head last night and saw enlarged ventricles. This caused them to want tpo ecplore it further with a CT scan, which they did @ about 5. The findings weren't good. There is something causing fluid build-up and it's putting some pressure on the brain. It needs to be looked at further in order to assess whether he could possibly need a shunt. We have to wait until tomorrow to have the Neurosurgon review the scan to understand the severity. We'll hear more tomorrow morning and will update by evening.
